Coming here To GLA in Haiti has been one big experience! This has been my first time even really seeing an orphanage. I was really expecting it to be a very Sad, lonely and sickly place feeling like this. That all my photos would be like these and it would feel like this.

 

And yes it is sad, and I do feel for these kids so much, and I pray they all get loving moms & dads soon. But I found that, for the kids here, the Joy outshines the sad!

 

 

I come away feeling less like “The world is so sad and dark,” and I feel more like “Wow look at what God can do with the dark!” I can feel God’s hope everywhere! Look at all the joy that these kids have all because two people came and helped when God said “Help!” And then God just came over and turned these kids’ lives around! He gave them a hope for the future.

{Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a Hope and a future.}

And God has not stopped helping or healing these little ones! So rather then see all the pain that is in their lives, see the Joy and the Miracles!
