Hello! For those of you who don’t know, I am in Haiti working at God’s Littlest Angels. I have been here for almost one month and I will be staying here for another 2 months! I’ll be coming back to the states on Dec 1st.
Here I’ve just been holding babies and playing with kids. All that fun stuff.
This is truly a great experience. Spiritually, personally and professionally. God has been, and will be, doing so many great things here in Haiti and in ME!!
The beauty here is incredible. As you can imagine I have not stopped taking pictures. Every place here has a balcony and every balcony has an incredible view!! One more thing, there are thunder storms here like every night! And for me, watching lightening storms is one of the most powerful ways to see Gods glory!
And at the end of the day when you’re tired, craving American food and just want to take a nice long bubble bath, just think of all the happy faces you got to see today! All the children that got a little more loving today!
34 “Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you who are blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. 35 For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in; 36 naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.’ 37 Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You something to drink? 38 And when did we see You a stranger, and invite You in, or naked, and clothe You? 39 When did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ 40 The King will answer and say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.’ –Matthew 25
When doing ministry It can’t be all about what you want, but about what your doing.
So that’s a little look at my life here in Haiti!
hello, ‘Lisba! thank you SO MUCH for all the pictures that you are posting. we are loving them! praying for you everyday and so excited to see what God is doing and will do!

hey Elizabeth – so glad that you’re seeing the world! There is a line in the Posionwood Bible, which I read after being in Vietnam for years. It’s at the end – it’s something like “I left Africa without making so much as ripple on the surface, but Africa left me completely changed”.
Maybe we can’t change a continent, but we can make a big difference to individual people’s lives. But the changes to us, when we do these things and step out in faith? They’re greater than we could ever anticipate.
Hope it’s a wonderful, transformative trip.
ps: take my word for it – the burger when you get back has never been tastier; the bubblebath never better! I’m due for a quick trip home (from the Philippines) in two weeks and I’m *sooooooooooooo ready* for a good cup of coffee!
